Example of work
Spoke manages Channel Five′s mobile, web and interactive voice competition services as well as their interactive voice and Facebook voting services, including live high volume shows such as Big Brother. Spoke also provided Five′s Going for Gold front end web and interactive voice platform, allowing the production team to manage audience interactivity using a real time interface.
As the exclusive competition service provider for Channel 5, we manage all their day−to−day competitions for shows such as the Gadget Show, CSI and Fifth Gear as well as all ad−hoc competitions. Prizes range from tech bundles to holidays and cash prizes. With premium rate entry channels, Channel 5 is able to generate significant revenue per competition.
Spoke provide detailed analysis to help our broadcast clients identify interaction behaviour in order to generate ideas for continuous improvement to help stimulate revenue growth at all times. For Channel 5, a ′3 for 2′ concept was developed, where consumers are given a 3rd entry for free, once they have entered a specific competition twice. This has been hugely successful, now running for over a year, resulting in a marked improvement in competition revenue as it encourages more multiple entries, as viewers want to receive the free entry. Responses for the We Pay Your Bills competition in particular increased by more than 90% over one year.
Channel 5 enlisted Spoke to manage their voting services for Big Brother, Celebrity Big Brother and Don′t Stop Believing. As well as the interactive voice solutions, we managed their Facebook voting service for Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother, where viewers could buy Facebook credits that are converted into votes.
